Wilhelminastraat reopens to traffic

Restaurantion Cas Veneranda has started

This week Stichting Monumentenfonds Aruba together with the Government of Aruba announced that it will begin with the restoration of Cas Veneranda

Anne Wistburg, director of Stichting Monumentenfonds Aruba, indicated that the work that will have to be done on this building is great. It was after a long time that the green light was given for this project. Now the process of selecting an architect will begin, to do the design. Monumentenfonds must also do its research what is hidden that is not yet known of the building, for example the color of paint, to see what was its original color. We will have to go downstairs, which for many years has been closed, we will have to open the building and do more research.

Then the design will be made and when it is available, it will have to go to public tender and execution. When everything is ready, the Department of Economic Affairs will be ready to start renting this building.
